CURATORIAL PROJECTS HAND SEWN REST—VILLA RIBEROLLE
.

2026

Sieste Ensemble organised an afternoon gathering around Hand Sewn Rest, a solo exhibition by Park Chae Biole, whose sculptures, portable, meticulous, and attentive to constrained and discriminated bodies, set the tone for the day. The event brought together artists working across sound, poetry, and DJ practice, each approaching their medium with a shared sensitivity to slowness, texture, and care.

The afternoon opened with mdomi, scko, and soul6coeur, followed by Park Chae Biole, who invited her sister Park Chae Dalle, artist and poet, for a duo reading. An assemblage of texts woven around the theme of rest, slowness, and a tender regard for the world. Constance Fleury then performed new texts set to dreamlike atmospheres, tracing the weight of inner turmoil through to an awakening of consciousness. Kalione, producer and co-founder of label Beatriz, offered an immersive set weaving ethereal voices, guitar drones, and restrained rhythmic tension. The afternoon closed with Elvira and Louison in a b2b set, brute, dense, and playful, moving fluidly between club and non-club music, transgressing genre boundariesin a sinuous and embodied flow.
